Users who find lost dogs struggle to accurately identify the dog’s breed due to limited knowledge of breed characteristics, while the form itself is overly cumbersome to complete. These issues hinder the website’s ability to efficiently match lost dogs with their owners.
We’ve built an AI-powered automatic breed detection mechanism using Amazon Rekognition software. Users simply need to take a picture of their dog, upload it to the website, and the AI works behind the scenes to detect the dog’s breed based on probability. During the testing phase, we achieved an accuracy rate of over 80%, which we were very pleased with.
